Why we started
In 2023, after one too many cheap leads snapping mid-walk and one too many “premium” beds that smelled of solvent, we decided to build the brand we wished existed. Small-batch, ethically made, vet-formulated, and built to outlast the season it was bought in.
The name is the two sounds our house makes. One half howls at the door at six in the morning; the other half purrs on the keyboard and judges everything. Both of them test what we sell.
What we make
Leads, harnesses, beds, bowls, scratchers, litter, toys, grooming kit and travel gear — for dogs, for cats, and for the people cleaning up after both. Nothing in the catalogue is filler: if it’s on the shop page, it is in use in our own homes.
How we make it
Our goods come from partner workshops in California, Portugal and Oregon. Every material — biothane, cast brass, stoneware, sisal, organic cotton, recycled fleece — is picked for durability first, safety second, and looks a distant third. Things that last tend to end up looking good anyway.
Everything gets eight weeks with real animals before it ships — including a lurcher who destroys things professionally and a tortoiseshell who refuses things for sport. If it doesn’t survive both, it doesn’t ship.
What we believe
- Built to last. One well-made thing beats five disposable ones — better for your animal, your wallet, and the landfill.
- Vet-formulated where it matters. Anything that goes near skin, mouth, or food bowl is reviewed by a licensed veterinary nutritionist.
- Slow, on purpose. We release fewer products, less often, and stand behind each one for the long haul.
